Day 5 !

Happy Tuesday !  Congratulations to our very first STAR OF THE WEEK!!!!!!  Today in Math we worked on lesson 2 in our unit Number Patterns. We reviewed what an operation and Pattern Rule is and also completed and created several charts using input and output numbers. In math class we also went over multiplication and division strategies and will continue to review and practice these tomorrow. In class students had time to work on page 11 in the text book number 1,3 and 4a. For homework as extra practice students were assigned page 4 and 5 in their Math Makes Sense workbook. All work will be checked tomorrow.  In Language we began discussing Anne Of Green Gables and read a little bit about Anne and what the book is going to be about. Students were given a worksheet and asked to use their imagination to express what they think Anne looks like. Happy Thursday SJA families!  *** Reminders *** We have a math test and OWA post test on Tuesday  No School tomorrow or Monday November 11th Check out our remembrance day art below  Math Today in Math we continued our review and took up the 1st page of our math review. Any question about the math were taken up as a group and worked through together in class.  Students will continue to work on it this weekend so that we can be ready for the test next week Tuesday. Language In Language we completed our lesson 9 spelling test. We also discuss some of the topics we might want to consider for our OWA post test on Tuesday. Students have been asked to take home the research they completed about an inventor and have been tasked with writing a sample of an OWA Information Report this weekend for extra practice. Hello SJA parents!     Inquiry into Math: Today the grade 4's completed the unit 3 math test.  Inquiry into Language: Today in language we finished our novel Ghosts in the Churchyard!!!! Great job grade 4s we are done our 2nd novel. For homework I have assigned the last worksheet in our package. Students have been asked to write a sequel to the novel. I have gone over all the worksheets that should be done by now in our Ghosts in the Churchyard package. The Ghosts in the Churchyard package will be collected and is expected to be completed in full by  Friday .
