Math
Today in Math we continued our review and took up the 1st page of our math review. Any question about the math were taken up as a group and worked through together in class.  Students will continue to work on it this weekend so that we can be ready for the test next week Tuesday.



Language
In Language we completed our lesson 9 spelling test. We also discuss some of the topics we might want to consider for our OWA post test on Tuesday. Students have been asked to take home the research they completed about an inventor and have been tasked with writing a sample of an OWA Information Report this weekend for extra practice. Raz Kids will not be assigned as students have a heavy school work load already this weekend but they have been asked to read a chapter book of their choice for a total of one hour this weekend.

Unit Of Inquiry
Today in UOI we continued to explore our science fair projects and continued with our experiments. Poster boards have been distributed and students have begun adding the information to the boards so that they are ready for Science Fair next week. Students who are not done the rough draft in the science fair project have been assigned it for homework this weekend so that next week we can just focus on the good copy and posted boards.

Good afternoon SJA families  We started our day with reading buddies ...    Math:  Today in Math we continued practicing multiplying decimals and dividing decimals. Students had a chance to explore the math problems together and come up to answer questions on the white board. Students have expressed the interest in showing the decimals using the base ten blocks.   Math questions have been assigned on page 145 #1,2,3 and page 62+63 also a practice worksheet has been given for practice.  Inquiry into Language: The majority of the class completed their good copy of their speech over this week. Today, they spent part of their morning practicing so that they could memorize their speech. We went over a few helpful tips to remember when trying to memorize their speech. Good afternoon SJA parents Today the grade 4s began their Data Management Assignment. They conducted a survey about the religious demographic of students and teachers in grades 1-5. For this assignment, the grade 4s are being challenged to collect data, create graphs, and interpret their findings using concepts and terminology learned throughout the unit. This is a two day assignment, so the grade 4s will have the opportunity to complete their assignment tomorrow.  Today in language   the grade 4s will continued to work on their speeches. Some students have begun their third paragraph (subtopic 2). Hello SJA parents! Inquiry into Math: Today the grade 4's continued working on a math review. We have reviewed some of our math questions and added some new notes to our math wall.. we have now completed the Show What You Know review from the textbook and began working on our math review worksheets (questions 1-4 have been assigned). Reminder our math test will be on Thursday.  Inquiry into Language: Today in language We discussed chapter 28 as a class and 29 and 30 have been assigned for homework. I have gone over all the worksheets that should be done by now in our Ghosts in the Churchyard package and we have reviewed the missing worksheets that will be assigned this week. Today I assigned the "character card" worksheet that goes along with chapters 28-30. The Ghosts in the Churchyard package will be collected and is expected to be completed in full by Friday.  We also have worked on spelling lesson 23 - our spelling test ...
