Day 2!

Happy Monday SJA Families 

Language
Today in language we worked on our spelling lesson 11, this will be due on Wednesday and our spelling test will be on Friday morning. We also started our new Grammar package. Students were given lesson one today and it will be due on Wednesday along with the spelling books. A quick reminder that all written pieces should be done in cursive!

We have made a change to our reading corner .. students are now able to take out the book of their choice to read at school. All books are at end of grade 3 to beginning of grade 5 level.


Unit Of Inquiry
Today is UOI we revisited the different parts of the ear and eye. Students were given a new worksheet to fill out again for extra practice and tomorrow we will have a quick quiz where they will be given the same worksheet and asked to identify the different parts of the ear.



Math
Today in math we began our new unit 9, on area and perimeter. Today we were tasked with figuring out the perimeter of our classroom! Check us out below!

Covid -19 Updates  Hello and Good Morning Everyone, As you are now aware, St. Jude’s Academy will be closed for the next two weeks due to COVID-19. Good afternoon SJA parents Today the grade 4s began their Data Management Assignment. They conducted a survey about the religious demographic of students and teachers in grades 1-5. For this assignment, the grade 4s are being challenged to collect data, create graphs, and interpret their findings using concepts and terminology learned throughout the unit. This is a two day assignment, so the grade 4s will have the opportunity to complete their assignment tomorrow.  Today in language   the grade 4s will continued to work on their speeches. Some students have begun their third paragraph (subtopic 2).
