Happy Friday SJA Families !  Today was meditation Friday-check us out below ! Language Today in language we were challenge with picking 10 spelling words and write a one page story on any topic as long as it includes all 10 words at least once. Students have been asked to make a list of the words they will be using in the story. This has been assigned for homework and will be collected for review on Monday. Math Today was our last lesson in math for this unit. The final questions have been assigned for homework and the first set of review questions have also been assigned. We will continue with math on Tuesday after Scientist in the school. Our math test as of right now has been assigned for Monday the 9th of December. Unit of Inquiry Today in UOI  we began our first lesson in the Religion unit (Christianity); We will continue with this unit on Monday. Happy Thursday SJA Families  Language Today in language we continued working on writing our paragraphs with words that were in our spelling lesson 11. This week was a review week and so there is no test tomorrow. Today we also had the opportunity to spend some time in the dome with Mr Oliver and Ms Chin practicing for our Holiday concert. We are looking better and better each time! Math Today in math we worked on finding the area of an irregular polygon. Homework was assigned in the textbook and on page 140-141 in the workbook. Happy Tuesday ! Language Today in language we continued to work on our grammar package and looked at exclamatory sentences and what they mean. We also looked at sentences with common nouns and when to use them. In language today we worked on writing paragraphs using 10 words of our choice from the list words in our spelling book. If this was not finished in class it is homework Math Today in math we looked at what area is and how we can find the area of a shape. We now know that area is the LxW of a shape and area is the space inside a shape. Homework was assigned in the textbook and workbook. Unit of Inquiry In UOI we have now began discussing our religion unit. Today we went over what different religions are and discuss how different people in our class have different religions. Happy Monday SJA FAMILIES! Language Today in language we worked on our grammar package and we worked on lesson 11 in our spelling books. There is no spelling test this week as we are entering into a review week. Math Today in math we reviewed how to find the perimeter of an object and now know that the perimeter is the size of the outside of an object. Homework was assigned both in the testbook and in our math workbooks. Music Today we also took some time to go over our dance moves and learn the lyrics to our Christmas concert song! Happy Monday SJA Families  Language Today in language we worked on our spelling lesson 11, this will be due on Wednesday and our spelling test will be on Friday morning. We also started our new Grammar package. Students were given lesson one today and it will be due on Wednesday along with the spelling books. A quick reminder that all written pieces should be done in cursive! We have made a change to our reading corner .. students are now able to take out the book of their choice to read at school. All books are at end of grade 3 to beginning of grade 5 level. Unit Of Inquiry Today is UOI we revisited the different parts of the ear and eye. Students were given a new worksheet to fill out again for extra practice and tomorrow we will have a quick quiz where they will be given the same worksheet and asked to identify the different parts of the ear. Math Today in math we began our new unit 9, on area and perimeter. Today we were tasked with figuring out the perimeter

Its Thursday and Science Fair day!!! Language Today in language we worked on a package that helps us with our spelling. We worked on Compound sentences, Using conjunctions to combine sentences, common nouns, and proper nouns. Any worksheets that were not finished were sent for homework.
