Math:
Today in math we did a quick review of the different lessons from last week. We specifically reviewed measuring from ML to L  and money (the different dollar notes and coins in Canada and providing change). Students were given extra time to ask me any questions outstanding from last week they had with in class work or homework and were encouraged to finish any outstanding work not completed today in class.


Language:
Today in language students were tasked with completing lesson 8 of the spelling book. Please find spelling words below.
Students also had a chance to  meet with their reading buddies and read a story for the daily 5 reading today.

 Unit of Inquiry:
Today in U.O.I we completed the last of the presentations for our Canada unit and I must say I am very impressed with all the groups. Tomorrow I will present the winners with the grand prize!
We also started adding to our U.O.I board new items to follow along with our new unit Light and Sound. Students took home the science fair package and we will be reviewing the package together tomorrow in class.

Good afternoon SJA parents Today the grade 4s began their Data Management Assignment. They conducted a survey about the religious demographic of students and teachers in grades 1-5. For this assignment, the grade 4s are being challenged to collect data, create graphs, and interpret their findings using concepts and terminology learned throughout the unit. This is a two day assignment, so the grade 4s will have the opportunity to complete their assignment tomorrow.  Today in language   the grade 4s will continued to work on their speeches. Some students have begun their third paragraph (subtopic 2).
