Day 1 !

Good afternoon SJA parents, 

Today in math we worked on our final review for the math assignment we will begin tomorrow. Students will be asked to conduct a survey and plot the results as well as answer questions related to the data. 
An additional review package has been assigned for homework tonight to make sure that everyone is ready for tomorrow. 

In UOI today we worked on researching different Buddhist symbols and festivals and made notes on each one. Just like in our previous unit once all the presentations have been done I will photocopy the notes and had them out to the class. Anything that was not completed during our extended UOI period is now homework. Presentation will take place tomorrow. 




In Language we continue to work on our speeches and should now be finishing up our introduction and 1st body paragraph. I will continue meeting with and editing student work tomorrow in class.

Dear SJA Families, 

Just a reminder that the SJA re-registration process is underway. To reserve your child’s 2020-2021 place at St. Jude’s Academy, complete and return your child’s re-registration forms and payment to Reception by Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 4:00 pm.

After this date and time, any available grade-level spaces will be open to new families on waitlists.

In addition, the deadline for our  priority enrolment into our JK Program is Friday, January 17, 2020, a letter is attached with more information.

Good afternoon SJA parents Today the grade 4s began their Data Management Assignment. They conducted a survey about the religious demographic of students and teachers in grades 1-5. For this assignment, the grade 4s are being challenged to collect data, create graphs, and interpret their findings using concepts and terminology learned throughout the unit. This is a two day assignment, so the grade 4s will have the opportunity to complete their assignment tomorrow.  Today in language   the grade 4s will continued to work on their speeches. Some students have begun their third paragraph (subtopic 2).
