Day 5!

Happy Monday SJA Parent,

Today in Math we worked on how to interpret survey results. Students were put in pairs and asked to put together a questions about sports and ask 10 people in the class the question. Once everyone was done with the survey we reviewed what the survey result revealed about our class and how to best identify key factors in the survey results so that we can best create our graphs.
Homework was assigned on page 179-180 in the textbook #1-4 and pages 72-73 in the workbook.




In UOI today students began to learn about Buddhism. We read the story of Buddha and students have been tasked with writing a recount of the story for homework.

In Language we took some time to review journal writing one last time. We came up with an example that will be posted in class tomorrow during the OWA post test. We also worked on our spelling lesson 16 and grammar lesson 6 - both due Wednesday - Test Friday. Final we ended the day with students working their speech and having already began the rough draft.

Good afternoon SJA parents Today the grade 4s began their Data Management Assignment. They conducted a survey about the religious demographic of students and teachers in grades 1-5. For this assignment, the grade 4s are being challenged to collect data, create graphs, and interpret their findings using concepts and terminology learned throughout the unit. This is a two day assignment, so the grade 4s will have the opportunity to complete their assignment tomorrow.  Today in language   the grade 4s will continued to work on their speeches. Some students have begun their third paragraph (subtopic 2).
