Learning goal: Define and conjugate some irregular verbs in the present tense.
Success criteria: I can successfully define and conjugate some irregular verbs in the present tense.
For today, students will need to access the internet to go to visit a website.
-Students will prepare a new sheet of lined paper (date, titre: Des verbes irréguliers).
-Students will try to remember and define what irregular verbs (verbes irréguliers) are: verbs that do not follow the usual endings or rule when conjugates. -Students will go to www.conjuguemos.com and click on “use without account”. And follow the following instructions:
-To the left side of the screen, you will see a flag indicating the language of practice, click on it and choose “French”.
-Scroll down to number 9.Le présent (irregular verbs) and click on it.
-Click on flashcards and follow through. You will need to stop and write down the following irregular verbs as you get to them: pouvoir, devoir, vouloir. (on your prepared lined sheet of paper).
-Once you have your three verbs written down, you should read them a few times to try and find some pattern to help you memorize them.
-For fun, you can click on “Games” next to “Flashcards” and go to the “Frog game” to practice some irregular verbs.
