TODAY WAS PANCAKE EATING CONTEST DAY IN ASSEMBLY!! LOOK AT US GO!!! 
Inquiry into Math:
We are almost at the end of this unit. A unit test will be held on Wednesday March 4th. 

Inquiry into Language:
Today in language we worked on spelling lesson 22 and had some extra grammar practice worksheets at the end. Spelling will be die Thursday and our test will also be Thursday morning. We discussed chapters 19 and 20 of Ghosts in the Churchyard. I read out chapter 19 and students were expected to fill in the blanks of the chapter 19 worksheet given. we read together as a class chapter 20 and continued to do our predictions. For homework students have been asked to read chapter 21.

Unit of Inquiry:
Today the grade 4s learned about catapults and even had a chance to build our own catapult!! Check below to see us building. 
After our catapult activity, we had Ms Samuel join us with her class for our knighting ceremony! Congratulations to our new Knights !!!!! 
. We will be having a quiz about armour and knights on Wednesday, February 27th. 
Black History Month: 
As we continue to learn about black history month today we looked at Ruby Bridges and her story. Ruby was the first African American child to desegregate the all-white school of William Frank Elementary school in Louisiana. After ready about Ruby, we worked on our final activity for Black History Month where we are putting together a Freedom Quilt that helps us to better understand just how much people like Ruby Bridges and Martin Luther King Jr have done for us all.

March Break Camps

Forms have been sent home regarding SJA's Awesome Adventure Camp. This wonderful camp will run from Monday to Friday for the entire March Break (March 9-13 & March 16 -20) and is offered to students from JK to Grade 6. Field trips will take place on Thursday afternoon. Meal plans are also included if you choose to do so. Cash or Quickbooks payments are the accepted forms of payment. Don't delay, register today!

Covid -19 Updates  Hello and Good Morning Everyone, As you are now aware, St. Jude’s Academy will be closed for the next two weeks due to COVID-19. Good afternoon SJA parents Today the grade 4s began their Data Management Assignment. They conducted a survey about the religious demographic of students and teachers in grades 1-5. For this assignment, the grade 4s are being challenged to collect data, create graphs, and interpret their findings using concepts and terminology learned throughout the unit. This is a two day assignment, so the grade 4s will have the opportunity to complete their assignment tomorrow.  Today in language   the grade 4s will continued to work on their speeches. Some students have begun their third paragraph (subtopic 2).
