Hello SJA parents! TODAY WAS PANCAKE EATING CONTEST DAY IN ASSEMBLY!! LOOK AT US GO!!!  Inquiry into Math: We are almost at the end of this unit. A unit test will be held on Wednesday March 4th.  Inquiry into Language: Today in language we worked on spelling lesson 22 and had some extra grammar practice worksheets at the end. Spelling will be die Thursday and our test will also be Thursday morning. We discussed chapters 19 and 20 of Ghosts in the Churchyard. I read out chapter 19 and students were expected to fill in the blanks of the chapter 19 worksheet given. we read together as a class chapter 20 and continued to do our predictions. Hello SJA parents! Thank you grade 4's for the lovely message on the whiteboard today!!!  Inquiry into Math: Today the grade 4s continued their geometry studies and looked at naming and sorting polygons based on their sides and angles. A worksheet has been sent home to continue practicing angles and polygons. The grade 4's were tasked with going around the classroom to see what they could find that had at least one angle! Good afternoon SJA Families !  Thank you Alister for bringing in a book to share about Medieval times  Today in Math we worked on constructing triangles. We used rulers and protractors to draw a given side length and protractors for the angles. Check below for some of our examples.  In language we continued to read our Ghosts in the Churchyard novel. As a class we read chapter 7 and had a class discussion on the events so far in the novel. Independently students read chapter 8 and 9 and completed some follow up questions on what was read in the chapters.  In unit of Inquiry we looked at what it means to be a knight. Students were given a package to read about how to become a knight and an assignment was given where they are expected to illustrate how one becomes a knight.
